Bike Bank work nights – calling all mechanics (and mechanics-in-training)! Tuesdays 5:30-8:30pm

Hello all! Our fall fundraiser was a big success for such small turnout (tough weather day) but now as the recreational riding season quiets down, we look to the work that continues for those who ride because they need to. The need for bikes and bike repairs are ongoing through winter, and we will keep chipping away at the many donated bikes we receive.

We have instituted an appointment-only system which has made our distributions more manageable. This replaces the open shop nights, which were tried in spring and summer but eventually became overwhelming. We still have a pile of bikes to restore, and could sure use the helping hands.

This is just a portion of the many bikes waiting for TLC to get rolling with Pueblo riders in need!

Since we made this change, we have more space and attention to give to restorations, and can coach mechanics who want to learn. Right now this is our limiting factor – more hands make for lighter work!

So, if you know of anyone with bike repair skills (even something as basic as tire/tube changing is always needed!) or who wants to learn more about bike repair, we are willing to teach.

Please reach out to let us know of your interest and we’ll be in touch.

Email at greenchilebike@gmail.com or text (719) 283-6039. Thanks!
